For providers

Expand what your TMS practice can treat

13 million Americans live with PTSD, and until now your TMS practice couldn't treat them on‑label. MeRT changes that.
A female doctor in a white coat is sitting at a desk, working on a computer displaying MeRT software with patient data, new protocols, EEG reports, and scale data on the screen.

Individualized TMS without a new learning curve. A 10-minute EEG and ECG sets the protocol, and your team delivers it on hardware they already know. Differentiate your practice and give more patients a reason to choose you.

More normalized brain activity

EEG scans showed changes in brain activity only in people who received MeRT, and those changes were linked to fewer PTSD symptoms.

Clinically meaningful improvements

Participants who received MeRT experienced clinically meaningful improvements in PTSD symptoms.

68%
Remission rate

More than two out of three participants no longer met the clinical criteria for PTSD following MeRT treatment.

52%
Reduction in PTSD symptom severity.

Participants receiving MeRT experienced an average of 52% reduction in PTSD symptom severity.

Lasting Results

The significant decrease in PTSD symptom severity seen at the end of MeRT treatment continued to improve for months after the completion of treatment.

Complete comprehensive onboarding and clinical support

Clinical workflow

  1. Neurotechnician records patient’s EEG

An EEG is recorded at baseline and repeated approximately every ten treatment sessions to capture brain activity and update the personalized protocol as needed.

  2. Clinician reviews patient’s protocol

After the MeRT System generates a personalized treatment protocol, the clinician reviews the recommended parameters and provides oversight before treatment begins.

  3. Neurotechnician administers therapy

A trained Neurotechnician administers treatment using the clinician-approved protocol within FDA-cleared TMS frameworks.

Frequently asked questions

MeRT may be a fit for psychiatry practices, TMS centers, behavioral health clinics, neurology practices, integrated health programs, and other qualified medical settings. Wave can help determine whether your practice meets the clinical and operational requirements.

No. Practices may be able to add MeRT to an existing TMS program or build a new program with compatible EEG and TMS equipment.

Practices need compatible TMS and EEG equipment, along with the appropriate clinical space, staff, and technology access. A Wave representative can help review your current setup.

The MeRT® System currently supports the MagVenture R30 and X100 TMS systems. If your practice already has TMS equipment, our team can review your current setup and discuss available integration options. If additional hardware is required, we’ll outline the available pathways to implement the MeRT System.

Training requirements may include prescribing clinicians, Neurotechnicians and other staff involved in patient care or program operations.

Wave provides training on EEG acquisition, treatment delivery, software use, safety procedures, and ongoing program operations.

Implementation timing depends on your existing equipment, staffing, training needs, and clinical readiness. Wave can build a launch plan based on your practice.

Providers receive access to ongoing clinical, technical, operational, and account support. The specific services included may depend on your agreement with Wave.

Your team records an EEG and submits the data through the MeRT System. The software analyzes the recording and generates personalized treatment information for the treating clinician to review.

The MeRT® workflow adds EEG assessments before treatment and at regular intervals—typically every 10 treatment sessions—to guide personalized treatment parameters. Wave provides training and implementation support to help practices integrate the workflow into their existing clinical operations.

Wave may provide approved messaging, educational materials, digital assets, and brand guidance to help participating practices communicate clearly and responsibly.

A licensed healthcare provider may make independent clinical decisions regarding off-label use. Providers remain responsible for patient selection, informed consent, documentation, and compliance with applicable requirements.

Practices may offer cash-pay services where permitted, subject to applicable laws, payer agreements, pricing requirements, and patient communication standards.

Wave uses administrative, technical, and operational safeguards designed to protect information processed through its technology. Specific security and privacy details can be reviewed during the contracting process.
